I drove my car home with the front tire locked up and left a rubber streak like 2 miles all the way home. I have been lucky and never got hurt. Also a repressed memory just popped up in my head thinking about it. When I was a young kid me, my brother, and sister were in the back seat of our parents 80's Buick regal and a drunk driver t boned us at a red light. We were all fine but the car was wrecked.

On my 24th birthday heading back from the bar with friends some bich pulled out and T-boned us while we were going about 50mph. I was drunk as it was my bday but my buddy was sober and driving. Didn’t seem too bad at first, went to the hospital and was checked out. Pain got worse and worse and went back for more x-rays and found out my T-2 and T-5 vertebrae had compression fractures. Physical therapy and time healed it, about a year later I felt pretty good.
2yrs ago I bought a brand new F150, two months after I bought it some fuk wit crossed yellow in the snow around a curve and hit me head on. Brand new truck was totaled, 3 months after that and battling insurance companies I went back and bought another brand new truck exactly like the one that got wrecked.

Yup, 2 years ago. Got T boned by a red-light runner who was road-raging with an unknown 3rd car. Got ejected, broke my L2, L3, Sacrum, both hips, and my pelvis
He was in a giant Escalade going "highway speeds" according to the police report, and I was in a 2016 Accord making a slow left turn in an intersection going maybe 10MPH. Ripped my doors and the seatbelt off, that's why I got thrown from the car.
Ended up in the street. Luckily, no surgery needed as bad as those injuries sound. Nothing was displaced and the breaks were not bad enough to require intervention. 6 days in the hospital, spent forever trying to get up the stairs to my apartment when I was discharged.
My mobility was ****ed during the healing process, taking a piss was a massive ordeal, getting out of bed, into a wheelchair, wheeling over to the bathroom, etc, etc. lol
Breaking your hips/pelvis is a MASSIVE burden on even the most basic movements, not to mention the pain. Forced to sleep on my back which I never do, cause any rotational movement (like sleeping on your side) was torture
But about 3 months later I was back to walking normally
