Can't speak to the validity of this article could just be straight fan fiction but too many things line up for some of it not to be true

How a season-long rift between Patrick Mahomes and Eric Bieniemy ruined the AFC Championship

“Most of the guys tune Bieniemy out, because he does the one thing good coaches don’t do: ignores feedback from players.”
Reid: “No, run this”
Bieniemy: “What the ****.”
Kafka: “We’re blowing this game.”
Mahomes: “Call the ****ing play or I will.”

Yeah hard to say how true this is, but it does line up with what went down in the AFC Championship. After that last play of the 1st half the Chiefs were a completely different team.

Author(s) have since pulled the story blaming racism in the comments
Seems fishy, I think ppl were starting to poke holes in the story or "sources" and a couple current and former players have came to EB's defense

Either way tho for sure some internal strife going on
If everything with Bieniemy were A ok, it's odd KC hasn't brought him back yet since it's clear the head coaching opportunities have passed him by

I think Vons gone, and Michel too. Darius Williams is an interesting one, last year he had a breakout year, regressed this year. I think he's testing the market and someone overpays thinking he resembles his last year self more. SJD also gone since greg Gaines took his spot and looked dominant
von said he will try to do his best to work on a deal with the rams.

Darius and sony michell i wouldnt mind if they walk. Cam, jake funk and probably drafting a RB should be good enough.

Allen and Corbett need to be back for sure.

OBJ i agree, with the injury, that increases the chances of him coming back.

Bieniemy has to have some issues just because he's been passed over for HC gigs for forever. GMs are obviously sensing something with him the public isn't seeing yet. Mahomes has been supportive of him in the past though - maybe just because he wants him gone?

For the record up until this year I was selfishly happy no team had yet scavenged EB from KC in hopes he would be Reid's heir who has to be considering retirement within a few years.

But at this point, and while I still consider EB an elite OC, I would like to see KC get move on and I believe this would be beneficial for all parties

The offense, and Mahomes included, has continually regressed since his first year as starter, albeit if only gradually
They are still elite but the trend is negative and this has to be disconcerting considering their core playmakers were/are in their prime for the entirety

Bieniemy also probably needs to prove he can be successful apart from Mahomes & Reid before anyone is gonna invest in his ideas and trust his processes

So much this broheme. Lol'd when I saw those fans sad faces and the girl crying, gotta admit I felt kinda bad, but what do you expect when you root for the Cowboys and have a trash QB that has shown he can't win games when we need him to. Since 2017.

It was the Cardinals game where I just knew we couldn't win this year either

Sometimes I think to myself damn, Cowboys really **** the bed this time around , broke so many fans hearts. Fans should just boycott and not go next season. But I forget this is clown world full of sheep and they'll still line up to see this mediocre Dallas team.

yea im thinking more and more that Von will be back. because I also think Donald won't be back unless Von is.

I think Donald knows he's done everything he can, has been VERY lucky injury wise in his career, and now the only reason to keep playing and risking injury is to win Super Bowls. he WILL end up retiring soon like Kuechly and Calvin did, but is willing to keep coming back if he feels like the team is built to win a title.

also you forgot about Hendo, who played a much larger role in the SB than I thought he would. I like an Akers/Hendo backfield with Funk there for special teams and the odd carry. But I do feel like Michel was highly underrated for what he did during the year.

Worst thing Rams can do is bring everyone back. This wasn't a dominate team start to finish that destroyed everyone in their path. Bucs made that mistake last year by bringing everybody back. Thinking they were the 1992 Dallas Cowboys. JPP was washed and only had 0.5 sacks after October, Antonio Brown blew up. These were the two obvious ones I wanted to replace last off-season.

I think Donalds using retirement as a way to get more money. Pretty sure he just came out and said he wants to be the highest paid defensive player in the league. That being said I wouldn’t be surprised if he does retire/ retire in the next year or two.
