I watched the first episode and it was pretty good.

It seems to now exist around the same time as The Last Kingdom, which is very good in my opinion.

Anyway, when the black women showed up it was just stupid. She looks extremely out of place and she's running around with a sword demanding order, etc.

A lot of British shows will put a "commanding black woman" in some role where she doesn't belong. It's really annoying racist Tokenism.

Vikings and the new show are simply not based on fact - a five minute internet search will prove this.

«Viking» wasnt a race or a people. It was the ACT of Norse people travelling to loot or trade . Modern day Norwegians, Danes, Icelanders, Swedes are descendant of those same people. if Vikings were of every race wouldnt our dna show this???
