CGTN (formerly known as cctv-9 and cctv news) is an international english-language chinese state-run cable tv news service based beijing, Chinese. It is one of six channels provided by china global television network, owned by the Chinese state media China central television (cctv), under the control of the publicity department of the Chinese Communist Party.

Because it is in the strategic interest of the United States that Russia be a weakened power. They push propaganda that makes this war to be a noble Ukrainian cause in order to justify the fact that the American consumer is left holding the bag for American sanctions on Russia which have zero chance (I agree with you here) of unseating Putin. Even if he were to be removed from power, which I find almost beyond the pale, thesilovikiclique is not going to be uprooted by these sanctions.

The American interest is understandable, but if at the end of this war we redraw the borders of Ukraine a bit and agree that they won't join NATO, I think the west bears the brunt of the responsibility for this war. If Russia starts annexing territory, okay, it was a mutually aggressive conflict, but until then-- this war is a failure of western diplomacy. SRS.

Yeah, its just a vague global chess board win that ends up being an L after the fact. But for the average american there is a tangible cost with no tangible benefit. Which means the people happy about this either hate russians, hate americans, or are enormous retards

Gas is about $2 a gallon in Moscow this morning.

So who's economy is in trouble?

Thats what i've been saying. Russians arent being told they should sell their cars and eat lentils to survive an economic war their government has imposed upon them. Maybe that is yet to come but the people telling us that are the people that have been lying through their teeth and getting everything wrong for as far back as I can remember

god you conservatives must all be poorcells. Wage inflation ain't that far from regular inflation and if spending $5/hr on gas wrecks you, that's on you. Maybe if your master hadn't cried like a baby about interest rates getting raised we'd be better positioned to combat inflation.

Idiots.

Wage growth is negative and thats using the borderline retarded calculation we adopted in the 90s. $5 a gallon gas isnt a big deal to me, but we'll see what it gets to in the future. To say nothing of food shortages, rent increases, etc.

We're talking about Russia though, stupid. If the rouble trades lower internationally but the labor cost of basic necessities in Russia remains generally stable it really seems like the average American is getting chit on by this more than the avershe russian. Thst may be a bonus for you considering how much you hate the blue collar class of Americans

Like I'd say that fighting russia without doing harm to Americans should be a priority but maybe you feel that squeezing the American working class is the whole point? How much do you hate the citizens of your own country?

Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.
