I had to get it for work. Omnicron came through. I was down with mild symptoms for like 12 hours.

My non-vaxxed buddies we out for days suffering.


That was a source of mental relief for me. I still wish I didn’t have to get it.

The anger and frustration wore off almost immediately upon finding out it was necessary. I accepted it and moved on.
Totally worth not letting your immune system do it's job and instead drop dead of a mysterious heart complication in your 40s.

The vaccine saved my friend from getting fired from his job. He was in his 10th year at the same company since college. He was about to have his paycheck, which he needed to feed his child, taken away. Thankfully he managed to get a vaccine in his blood stream just in time to keep his job. Lucky guy.

My neighbor was saved by the vaccine as well. She knew many relatives who had bad symptoms from delta. She thought, "If my pre diabetic obese grandmother who is recovering from cancer got flue like symptoms for 72 hours, imagine what it will do to my 29 year old body". Lucky for her, her second dose only gave her flu like symptoms for 48 hours. Saved herself 24 hours of pain, smart gal.

My friend who works in a facility that uses medicare was told he had to get the vaccine even though he works in the boiler room and cannot interact with patients at all. After his booster he started to develop a neurological issue that stopped him from working his job. When he asked the doctor if there was any chance the three doses of vaccine he took the months prior played a role he was assured they were safe and effective. He is skeptical though, and did some research to see if he could sue the pharmaceutical company. Turns out he cannot! What a relief, as his lawyer fee's would crush his life savings.

I like how vaccines have demonstrated a dire need for knowledge translation. Hopefully scientists across fields will work diligently to meet the challenge.

My 3 month old son has handled all his vaxx shots like an absolute champ!
