I like F1 but i also like it when someone else gets a chance to win. No way will any other teams besides the top couople ever get a chance in F1. It gets boring pretty fast when you once again see lewis on pole, you pretty much know how its going to end.

At least nascar gives other guys a chance somewhat. xfinity even more.

But yea, I get you. But they already have other professional series that race road courses (IMSA). Just hitting the different markets. And if you look at the majority of short tracks, they are ovals as well.
IMSA you say? So there are Nascar style cars racing on non ovals? Interesting I will check it out. I mean, I figured something like that might exist, just never looked into it yet. Good stuff though I'm glad. Man, watching a bunch of cars go around an oval for a few hours, I could not do it.

And for the person who said about F1 and rally being the pinnacle, there is something to be said for GT1. Similar to F1 in the sense that they are some of the fastest vehicles in the world, however I find racing on real roads makes it super interesting

Not really NASCAR style cars - Ferrari's, Porsche's, Corvette's, Mustangs, ect. but highly modified into racing beasts. The closest you'll probably get to a nascar style car on road courses would probably be the V8 Supercar Series in Australia. Some pretty tight intense racing in that series.

If you want Nascar type cars on non-oval tracks check out Trans Am racing.

I'm not a fan, I was as a kid..but man in person nascar is gnarly. So many of you virgins could get laid a Talladega or Daytona if you went
Amazing parties, you don't meet any strangers because everyone is so cool. Can drink all weekend and never pay a single dime. It's really cool in person

i don't think its a sport

but one thing i think about is.. its kinda hard to differentiate yourself.

it's either the car or extreme skill. most cars prob go around the same speed, no? i imagine they couldn't have one do 500mph and then another 250mph. so theyre in cars that go relatively the same speed around the same track.. seems hard to pull yourself from the pack tbh

Nascar and F1 are both the gheys.

Imagine doing all that with zero down force and only two tires with a couple inches of contact patch on the asphalt.

That's real racing. Moto GP or Tourist Trophy.

It's like a drag race on every straightaway and the turns are all important too. There's lots of strategy you do t think about if you don't sit and watch it or play the racing sim online

It's a quintessentially low IQ american pass-time. Work at the factory all week long, go to a stock car race on the weekend, sit in your little fold out chair with your american flag on it, drink your 12 pack of piss water bud light, get a weak beer buzz going, burn to a crisp in the sun and end up looking like a tomato, complain about black drivers, have your little radio next to you playing lynard skynard. 10/10 weekend day!
