Honestly those broke fuks dont need a custom designed vehicle. They should be buying off the shelf commercial vans. Didnt they get bailed out from bankruptcy?
Where do they have money to request a custom design.

I googled "small commercial cargo van"
There are like 5 different brands that all look roughly like this.

It would be way cheaper to just order those with maybe something small added on extra mirrors or something at the factory. All these companies are global and have eurocuck variants, they can make a right handed driver eurocuck variant if needed.
Being 5 different companies make a similar product make them bid against each other for best price on your large order.
Government is so fuking stupid and wastes so much money.

LOL @ the replies ITT. These units are built of utility, route and workflow optimization, and repairability for decades use. I'm sure the engineers with a multimillion R&D budget know better than the MISC.
Larger cargo for higher package volume.
Larger windshield for better visibility (lower liability insurance).
Distinctive look for brand Identity and recognition.
Small engine for fuel economy.
Easy and lower window accessibility for mail boxes, and lower center of gravity for better anit-roll protection and easier step downs to ground for employees reducing injuries and mitigating insurance and liability costs.
I'd say "that's what you get" when you thrown millions in R&D to a purpose built automobile for an organization that knows exactly what it needs after decades of active service and trail&error. LOL @ people dogging it for style.... this is a 100% utility build with no care for looks.
