They're lazier but also the incentives that used to exist aren't there anymore (reasonably attainable middle class lifestyle with hard work, wholesome loyal wife to take care of, etc.)

At the peak population, most mice spent every living second in the company of hundreds of other mice. They gathered in the main squares, waiting to be fed and occasionally attacking each other. Few females carried pregnancies to term, and the ones that did seemed to simply forget about their babies. They'd move half their litter away from danger and forget the rest. Generally guarded by one male, the females—and few males—inside the space didn't breed or fight or do anything but eat and groom and sleep. When the population started declining the beautiful ones were spared from violence and death, but had completely lost touch with social behaviors, including having sex or caring for their young.

I know alot of lazy gen x - boomers - and millennials. There is always going to be a subsection of lazy fuks in society... i know a 60 year old who hasn't worked since 2020 collecting the trump and biden bux...perfectly content with being a leach and actually believes that they are OWED that for working a mediocre administrative assistant job their entire life. Some people don't care about material things and would rather coast. I like pulling up to the light downtown dressed well and having people on the corner mire my success. Some homeless dude was yelling to me the other day about how nice my jeep was lmao. Really, just depends on what motivates you. There are people that have a hunger to succeed and then there are people who want to sit around wasting their lives on booze and weed.

wtf do you mean? 200 years ago people wouldn't be lazy and the only incentive would be: "If you are lazy... you are not eating".

Life is way too good/confortable nowadays. Thats why those fukers lack "incentives".
