The Supreme Court leaker is a criminal.

18 U.S.C. § 641 makes it a crime to "knowingly convert... any record" of the United States for one's personal use – including legal opinions.
The penalty is 1 to 10 years in prison.

I don't know if it can shift the midterms much. Maybe if Ds campaign on a plan to "expand the Supreme Court" [aka: add more liberal leaning justices to the bench].

Does this mean liberals will start supporting women again after ditching them for trannies?
Scubastevo :-What percentage of women have STDs? (serious) If I just wanted to go bareback with any girl that I could get with, what are my chances of ending up bed ridden with STDs?

I do love how it’s always phrased as anti-abortion vs pro-choice.

It’s not pro-abortion vs anti-abortion.

Something doesnt sit right with this whole thing.

That new lady just swon in and out of the blue an unheard of leak somehow magically happens?

Something about it just seems like a setup created to divide us somehow. Not blaming that lady or the supreme court itself but more the media. How do we even know its true?

Just gets the spidey senses tingling for some reason.

I agree. Particularly with women who they had been losing due to increasing crime. They will literally pack the SC if they win the midterms now.

The leak is absolutely being timed for the midterms, no doubt there. But conservatives are shooting themselves in the foot on this one. They are their own worst enemy. Like imagine overturning something so extremely controversial - there's just no strategy there at all. 2024 will 100% be a democrat president again, no doubt about it.

If you can mobilize dem voters, dems win. Every single time.

Yep - as far as I'm concerned, conservatives are finished for a long time after this. What a complete 180, I am genuinely shocked at how stupid they played this. Their midterm success was going to be an absolute landslide before this, jesus

Even if you're against abortion and support the overturning of Roe v Wade, this is a significant event since it facilitates the overturning of something previously declared protected. Other things can be overturned as well.

Griswold is an example. That's the case that fundamentally recognised a right to privacy and formed the basis for Roe, and other cases like Lawrence v Texas. So if Roe is overturned, Griswold can be too, and then the floodgates for criminalisation of sodomy, contraceptives, same-sex marriage etc are on the table.

I'm actually against abortion but let's see the bigger picture here. Conservatives are pushing a theocratic agenda on the population; and they know it too in their desperation to gerrymander their states to give themselves massive advantages against Democrats. But the backlash against their fledgling fascism and their regressive reactionaryism will likely be quite harsh and vociferous. They won''t go quietly into the night.
Back off, Warchild.

This is on page 62 of draft:
"As even the Casey plurality recognized, “[a]bortion is a unique act” because it terminates “life or potential life.” 505 U.S, at 852; see also Roe, 410 U. 8., at 159 (abortion is “inherently different from marital intimacy,” “marriage,” or “procreation”).And to ensure that our decision is not misunderstood or mischaracterized, we emphasize that our decision concerns the constitutional right to abortion and no other right. Nothing in this opinion should be understood to cast doubt on precedents that do not concern abortion."
Another Ooph victory.
