Mirin OP. I think sometime in the next year or so I will feed out one of our steers and have it slaughtered. Being in control of the entire process from hoof to plate is GOAT.

JFL @ you idiots thinking supermarket meat is "fresh, never frozen."

P.S. if handled properly, vacuum sealed when fresh, and not thawed/refrozen repeatedly, most beef/pork/etc will stay just as good as the day it was frozen for years...
