I'm just going to keep DCAing so I can Gordonmaxx later in life. Unless it all goes to shyt in our lifetime (which doesn't seem far fetched at all), then I'm fuked.

Lol this. I remember all the cucks in the trading/investing thread swearing that technology wasn't overvalued and thinking they were geniuses for investing in the highest risk stonks during a fed-inflated rally. Meanwhile, my "boomer" S&P fund is barely down 12% this year since I'm DCAing in, the oil stocks I bought have mooned, and I'm straight chilling right now. Yeah, it sucks to be down, but I also know it'll come back and I'm now accumulating more cheaply. Same can't be said for $PLTR, $SOFI, or all the other crap that was recommended there lmao,

Yes, if you have a long-term time horizon 10-20+ years you should welcome these downturns and corrections. Stocks are on sale. Just keep dollar cost averaging automatically every month into low cost S&P 500 index funds or ETFs like the ones from Vanguard. Keep increasing the amount as often as you can. No advisor needed. This is how you get rich. Not by trying to pick stocks or funds or time the market. Just religiously invest every month as much as you can and never touch it. Set it and forget it.

TFW you log onto your account and they hit you with the "information on market volatility" pop up. A sight for sore eyes, it should say "fire sale next week".

I dont invest much in the market, but being down from ATH isnt a loss, the loss is if you actually sell lower than you bought.

Got out a while ago thankfully. Although I do have a decent hunk invested in gold and silver. I was up for a while, but now things aren't looking so hot. Especially silver. Only time will tell though with PM's.

Not sure when I want to get back in this market. Roth is down a decent amount but not too bad. Don't even check my 401k.

This very solid, but very dated imo, advice is going to get soo many in my generation crushed down the road.

They’re going to trigger a collapse before 2040 I’m am 100% certain. It’s all going down for us.
