Agreed. Developers should take a queue from From Soft on how to release a full game that’s not plagued with bugs from the rip. I’ve heard PC may have had some performance issues but whether ER is your cup of tea or not, no one can deny the devs hit a home run from an overall performance standpoint.
This body holding me, be my reminder here that I am not alone.

Also, price will be nicer
Last Soul type of game I played was that AWFUL Mortal Shell and it really threw me off by the genre

One thing to note though, while I own and have beaten skyrim twice (and I move slowly with games to experience as much as I can) I'd say that the biggest draw of skyrim isn't the combat system or the story itself but it's the world/lore and how many discoverables and side missions there are. Also, and most importantly its role playing aspects.Skyrim is 11 years old and people are still talking about it.

Elden Ring seems to be a story you have to piece together through gameplay. There's no heavy dialog or role playing so that puts it at a disadvantage when it comes to replayability

Honestly I gotta say that the success of Elden Ring is one I can't feel bad about regardless of how much I'm a fan of it or not. The fact that it's a complete experience, that doesn't try to upsell you on DLC, that doesn't need months/years of patching to be the game that it should be, well that's sadly become something of a rarity in today's AAA market. Maybe this will finally get some publishers/devs to make games the way they should be.
