Not all Cruise movies are legendary

But I can’t even think of a movie he made that was bad. They just don’t exist.

Everything he touches is at least watchable. The only question is will this be average or will this be awesome? There’s no such thing as a sh*tty Cruise movie

All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

This. OP posted a Rotten Tomatoes review, which is the same review site that gave Soy Wars 7: The Soy Awakens a 93% positive rating. And that's even though it's been 7 years since that pile of chit movie has been out and has had plenty of time to be adjusted to ratings more appropriate than the overly positive bs that comes out with big releases early on.

There are so many issues with movie review sites in general, and RT is among the worst of them. They are heavily predisposed to give favorable reviews to major Hollywood franchises (a Top Gun sequel more than qualifies for that), rate most comedies/horror movies unfairly negatively (and I dislikey most horror movies). Also, did I mention, they seriously kiss major asss for big Hollywood franchise movies, no matter how little they deserve it? Oh chit, I did, but oh well - it's true enough to be said multiple times. RT blows balls.

He was horribly miscast as Jack Reacher. That's the only one I could think of and it wasn't even a bad movie, just terribly unrealistic.

Miles Teller ruins it for me. He and Adam Driver and Channing Tatum have the most Autistic faces that are just so distracting.

Top Gun is one of my favorite movies but I don't even remember what it was about. Just skip to the good parts, sex scenes and dogfights. The rest of the movie is just pure fluff. I assume this one is too. Cool part is they flew actual jets in the movie instead of just making a big CGI disaster even though it would have been a lot cheaper. The only thing I didn't care for is some scenes in the preview trailers it looks like they are trying to do the Fast and Furrious with jets. Something about Cruize goes and gets his old F14 which although would be awesome but it's impossible unless he went to Iran.

GOAT Soundtrack on the original.

uhhhh brah.... do you not understand that RT just accumulates critic reviews? The reviewers are actually the ones who give it either a "red tomatoe" or "green"

The 93% score was a rating they gave that said... 91% of critic reviews around the web and via entertainment media (which they received 495 reviews) gave it a POSITIVE score, rather than a NEGATIVE score

Paddington 2 scored a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.. that doesn't mean that it's the greatest movie of all time and is Oscar worthy, that just means that everyone who put in their review said it was more "good" rather than "bad"

If current year reviewers say that a movie starring "old white boomer" Cruise literally glorifying the US Air Force in the sequel of a 1986 dad movie is good - so as far from the "woke" crap as possible - is fantastic, then there is a very good chance that it will be epic.

Also RT is a review aggregate site, they don't rate anything.

Always ignore the critics reviews and look at the audience score crew checking in. Top Gun doesn't have an audience score yet, that will be the true reflection of how good the movie is.

This. The audience score is the real way you can dictate how good it is.

That movie gets panned only because it has Jack Reacher attached to it

Remove the Jack Reacher baggage and consider a generic action movie release of Cruise. It’s so good.

Agreed. It's Tom Cruise so it's worth a watch. I made the mistake of trying to watch the new Venom. OMG that movie sucks. Wtf were they thinking. Couldn't even make it 1/2 hour through.
