A current working theory on why they don’t attack humans in the wild is out of fear/respect for the “aliens” (keep in mind they can’t leave the ocean and can see with echolocation - which doesn’t work on solid things like where we live) that can fck up anything (srs).

To paraphrase Ivan Drago, "If I die, I die"
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Those crows and jay birds that can solve challenges, like bending little wires to fish a worm out of a tube of water (experiments in making/using tools and following a series of logical steps to solve a problem).
Those dolphins, like the one that recognized itself in a mirror placed in its tank (it started making various motions in the mirror to confirm that it was really him/her). Few other animals cognitively can do that.
Golden Retrievers, because they have such "confidence" and openness, all because of love.

Octopus have like alien level intelligence. Probably the most fascinating creatures on earth.
Dolphins and killer whales are smart too. Sharks are pretty badass.
I always liked reptiles and amphibians, snakes, crocodiles, etc. cool like dinosaurs. Birds are interesting too, Falcons can fly like 200 mph.
Some big cats are fun to watch too, cheetahs are alpha af. Amazes me that an animal can move that fast on land.
