Assuming you want to live a good life you need to have the finances and the mobility to do so. If your neighborhood is 'too cheap' its only a matter of time before degens move in. Whether its letting their yard go to hell. Throwing huge/loud parties that last all night. Either them or their guests/relatives breaking into cars/homes/stealing packages, etc. Selling drugs out of the home. And/or shootings occurring in the area. It really doesn't matter what their race is. You just want to stay as far away from poors/low income people as you can.




Sad to say but a large portion of life-style is just being able to afford to live in places that degens are priced out of.

My answer is currently closing on a house on 16 acres and all the surrounding parcels are 10+ acres.

After changing carpeting / painting and some basic Reno first priority is fencing and gate.

Next is outdoor kennel and two bull mastiffs

And all my current neighbors are rich white people. I just don’t like everyone and don’t want anyone close to me. My family is just about all I can handle, srs. (Needs regular breaks from people crew)

Get a noise meter and be ready to document every hoa rule and city law/ordinance they break. Show up to court and follow through with every complaint.

Can't work on your car in driveway, cars can only be on street for 3 days, can't have basketball hoop, can't be loud past 10, must maintain lawn, must keep appearance of house up, front door and garage doors must be kept nice etc.

If they comply with all the hoa rules, we would be fine neighbors.
