No hard data to back it up but I think with some of these types of supplements their modest at best benefits take a long time to see. I did get my first ever kidney stone around age 48 after supplementing for around a year and that is listed as one of the potential side effects. I was also cutting at the time and eating a lot of salads with spinach and beets and probably just pushed the oxalate levels over the edge.
I still use it and try to be mindful of overall oxalate intake. I do feel like it has helped some with skin and hair quality, but could very well be confirmation bias.
