You are just as bad as those senators. The people who allow it to happen/or refuse to fight back because they "disagree anyway" are collaborates as far as I am concerned.

Aren't sports teams owned by people with hundreds of millions or even billions in their pocket? The Rays' owner is worth 800m, he can foot the bill himself.

Its beyond idiotic to do this as a company. 100% this.

these corporations need to realize half of their customers dont agree with their political policies (which are set by one or two diversity and inclusion people)

we have a separation of church and state for schools etc for this exact reason. Businesses should follow suit if they want public funding.

Sure, I guess I agree if we had the numbers or there was a true 50/50 split. But the truth is that more than half of our country are liberal potatoes. When you are the minority, institutional protections become ultra-valuable.

See above.

I think the right answer, given repubs in the minority, is to play within the rule system they have set. For example, libs insist on immigration, fine, we going to open up the flood gates to white south africans, cubans, and other right-wing refugees. You want abortion? Fine, we will put out roving abortion clinic RVs in the ghetto that give $20 to black ppl to have abortions.

Republicans need to think smart and play the game. Not try to fight fire with fire.

I'm pretty sure there were more people in line at Chipolte today than there is filling Tropicana Field these days, it's time to throw the whole team out.

I understand your point, and it's certainly legitimate, but when the opposition does the same thing, and will go to far more extreme lengths to achieve their goals, it's time to drop the morality and fight fire with fire.

Good. Imo it's fkn ridiculously that pro sports franchises expect states/municipalities to put taxpayer money towards building their stadiums/practice facilities and chit. There should legitimately be a federal law banning any taxpayer money from going towards professional sports teams in ANY capacity, which would prevent sports team owners from using it as a bargaining chip just to have a team located somewhere. So tired of seeing big money constantly getting funneled to rich elites like fukking pro sports franchises the wagecels/business owner taxpayers always get fisted.

I never understood how voters would okay any public funding for any sports teams facilities when they charge people like crazy to attend games and make millions of dollars from broadcasting

They 100% don't need any money from the public for their stadiums but just take it because we're too stupid to block it
