Most people making $750k are likely not even being paid as regular employees. They can keep money in their business and only pay corporate tax while purchasing chit within the corporation, or employ family members and pay them a salary to reduce their tax burden, or any range of much more complex legal tax avoidance strategies.

I made $210k on paper last year and paid like $32k total in tax between corporate and personal
since when is nobody making 600k+ in income? most big tech engineers are making that kind of dough

Segregate ur business and personal expenses, lol at trying to abuse the tax code putting expenses on ur company

Plenty are making that as income, they’re just not making it as regular employee income. Even top paid software engineers etc with compensation in that range are making a huge chunk of it in stock options that can result in tax deferrals and whatever else.

It’s not abusing the tax code, there are tons of legal avenues for tax avoidance. And if you’re running a business, there’s no obligation to take money out of the business and realize it as personal income in any given year.

Someone making $750k can pay a good accountant $20k and likely reduce their tax bill by $200k.

Actually you know what scratch all this, the 1%ers are totally paying enough tax
