a package of chicken breast goes for nearly 20 dollars easily at vons/safeway

and any chicken they do happen to have on sale is usually gone by the time I leave work so yeah it sucks right now trying to buy any chicken

Luckily my dad just came back from a fishing trip in Mexico and he ended up with over 100 pound fillets of yellowtail, durado, and red fish so I got a nice amount of fish I can still cook up

Tuna is my best bet regularly. I stock up on chicken and beef only when it's on sale. I've resorted to incorporating lentils, beans, yogurt, etc in my diet now. Those are still cheap as fug

I raised the weekly rent on my properties.

$400 is now $500
$600 is now $750
$800 is now $1000

It's still pretty affordable to the type of people I rent to. Traveling refinery contractors with a per diem.

I’m in San Diego county, and same here. Eggs are the only things that have gotten more expensive, at least enough to notice.

We mostly eat chicken thighs, ground beef/pork, bacon, eggs and cheese for our protein. Whole milk, too.

Steaks once or twice a week. Used to eat them daily. They’re still priced the same, I just actually got tired of eating steak. Didn’t think that was possible.

I'm beefmaxxin out where I am. My local butcher has 90/10 ground beef on sale for $3lb on Monday's. I bought a case of 20lbs since I'm a rentcel and don't have any more room to buy more. I snipe marked down chicken breast at Kroger for usually ~$2.50lb.

Make it taste good with BBQ sauce of your choice.

Still cheap here. I get pork shoulder for .97/lb, chicken breasts for 1.99-2.99/lb, ribeye and or NY strips for 7.99/lb, ground beef for 3.99/lb or bison for 4.99/lb, eggs for avg $2/dz, chicken thighs and drumsticks for average 1.50/lb. There are alway sales and I stock up when there is. A freezer and a food saver go a long way.
I probably banged your mom.
