Dress up? I spent some time in Accra, Ghana doing business and the dudes we were working with wore western style clothes every day except on Fridays everyone wore their traditiona/tribal stuff. Was neato.

the google search revealed that because a country was forced to give slaves to other African nations and lost men in warfare, they didn't have men for military so they were forced to use women.
