This. Has nothing to do with being a pussy or being "tough". I work in an ac'd office, but I have to go outside to look at cars. I sweat my ass off after 10m. I sweat more after being out in 10m than my bodyman who's out in the heat all day. I've got other friends who love running in 95 degree heat. Not me, I sweat just looking at the fuking weather. I've worked outside in my past career in a black uniform with 30lbs of equipment on and I sweat the same whether I'm in it all day or just 10m. People have always commented on how much I sweat. In the ac'd gym it's dripping off my nose, shirt is halfway soaked and head is soaked and that's without cardio. It's hard to always stay hydrated when you sweat that much. I HATE the fuking heat and it's supposed to be 100+ for 10 days here with the weekend being 105, 104 and 104 respectively. I keep my house on 68 and if it's 70 in there I can tell. So, yes. everyone is different.

When I bang my gf she gets rained on lol. Luckily she thinks it's sexy or I'd probably be single lol.



ON THE FLIP SIDE, in the winter I rarely wear a coat. Now, our winters are mild here in Memphis, but I only wear a light jacket mostly. I have a peacoat that I'll wear if I'm out at night and have a some walking to do. If I'm running errands, I rarely wear a coat regardless of the temp. If I'm out of a heated vehicle into a heated store, I can handle the walk to and fro. Of course, I get comments on this from friends, girls, strangers and family. I'll take 35 over 95 any fuking day.

A UPS driver collapsed and died here locally earlier this month during his route, which is being attributed to the heat. Also, a few years ago, a USPS worker died in their mail car during record 116 degree heat.

Been there lol. You instantly feel uneasy or ill, and then might try to rush to some shelter, sink, place to sit, or finish whatever you are doing (which driver seemed to be) which again rises your temperature and makes you prone to blacking out. Heat is also just one factor of many which can make you prone to passing out

Our body is chitty at dealing with heat and humidity. The environment heats your core to dangerous temperatures. In a hot room without AC, your IQ drops 10%

I did not know big brown trucks had no AC. I am pretty sure FedEx does because I see them with the doors closed a lot. FedEx is also like a franchise business model, ups is all corporate.

Feel bad for the guy. I had heat exhaustion once after running 7 miles at 100+. Didn't kick in until I got back to my pickup and I had to lay down with the AC blasting, I was trembling and could barely move. I had an apple and protein drink but it took at least 30 minutes before I could sit up. An older me would've called 911 for iv fluids.

The video of that guy looks like I did.

Looks real to me. Lived in and worked in high temps for years. The bad streak of 100+ days in north TX [1980?] I had summer camp with almost no AC. Worked outside [nursery] and in greenhouses [even hotter] and felt very drained/vaguely faint, but never that bad.

I had better tolerance when I was younger. The first time I had a very bad spell I think I was 43 or 44...srs one of the only times I truly thought I might die...struggling to stay conscious, sitting on the floor of the shower with water spraying on me to cool off, and I was alone.

Don't think it is anything to do with climate change though. Just different levels of heat/humidity/hydration and individual physiology.

ETA: In the shower with all my clothes on FWIW...could not deal with stripping down.

Course winter delivery drivers would not unpleasant also.

I think I would lose my mind living in Texas.

It's crazy, it seems like Chicago and San Francisco are the only two cities throughout the country, that aren't being hit with record numbers.

What a dramatic pansy. literally all he needs is a cooler in his truck with various drinks. That's it. Does the heat suck? Yes. But it's his fault for not preparing for each day. I work in a hot warehouse every day. Our UPS driver has never done anything like this. Sometimes our drivers will ask for a water or gatorade which we happily give them anything they need.

People are as soft as feather pillows these days. I used to play 3 soccer games a day as a kid in this heat lmao. This dude can't just drive around and do basic physical tasks in this?

yesterday worked on my car. almost passed out. humid too. had to lay down in AC for about 15 minutes to recover. prolly dehydrated as well cuz so focused on fixing car.

Apparently in addition to raking in 6 figures in multiple careers as engineers/investment bankers/landlords, miscers also be landscaping and roofing in 110 heat on the reg no problem.

I have horrible allergies and have never gotten a heat stroke in my life despite doing excessive physical activity in weather like this.

These guys with health issues won't drive. Any driver with physical issues will be put on a different duty. So that's bull****.

These drivers deal with this **** for years. This guy is either faking this or he just wasn't prepared at all for this and it is his fault for it. I've loaded these guys at my place in -20+ degree weather and 100+ degree weather with high humidity for years and years. All the different guys we've had weren't in prime physical shape either. The difference? They were prepared or asked for liquids if they ever needed it which is rare. Actually the work they do is much harder than typical street neighbohood drop offs.

This is just nonsense.
