Non jet, BF109.

Jet its too hard to call.
SR71 is the goat but F117 looks sick. Also always liked the way f-104 star fighters looked.

B-52 bomber. Because it is 70 years old and still doing the job. We sure did get our money's worth. Reliable, just like my car.

F4E-Phantom II. The days of loud fighters with pure raw power. Modern fighters are more "sophisticated" power.

As mentioned above A-10 "Warthog". Absorb HUGE amounts of damage and punishment, stay in the fight.

Similarly, B17 and B29 bombers, absorb flack and fighter damage and still make it back home.

P-51 Mustang, F8F Bearcat, Hawker Sea Fury. Go to the Reno Air Races and enjoy them racing.

C-5

Havent seen one take off in about 10 years or so but i remember it looking like it was barely moving down the runway, maybe about 60mph, lifted its nose and just like that, off it went.

Kinda resembles the B747 in the front so that is another reason.

Messerschmidt 109 - was around 1937 and went all teh way through WW2. Pretty much the only model that was superceded. Also had optional Nitrous boost.

Focke Wolf 190

Came around a few years into WW2 - packed a punch and rivalled the spitfire.

German designers were the best.
Soft spot for the Spitfire, Tempest and Mustang.
Nothing post WW2 really appeals to me.

Agreed.

Having your country surveilled without your authority by an enemy plane that was made by a country using your own materials is the ultimate cucking.

Being one who won tournaments in fighter ace

.the spitfire

The bf109 could outclimb and out run it, but it couldn't turn ,it was relegated to zoom and boom

All you had to do is bait and bide your time ,once it was damaged ,it was done

The spitfire did everything well while excelling at none

P51,same as 109 ,don't h2h

I love C130's in general, especially H models and ones mission specific for SAR, but literally THIS ONE, the 1706. The #3 prop decoupled and went into the fuselage (before my time), it still flew and landed. I have well over 5000 hours on C130's, think more than any of the other 17XX's, much of it was on the 1706. Very reliable and if it breaks down, we are at a very good location for fun and peridium lol. I flew on the 1706 when stationed in Clearwater, Barbers Point and Sacramento. That plan followed me throughout my time in. Miss it.
