Mirin'. I'm an assistant pastor at my church and my kids do the same thing. We have a nightly devotion from the King James every night. I'm preaching this Wednesday, as a matter of fact. Dazzit mane.

Is he asking questions about how people were able to live to 800 years old yet? Or is he showing signs of being able to be indoctrinated into the nonsense?

To him they are just stories. I don't indocrinate him or tell him it's nonsense. I'm not forcing him to read it, he is really into it.

And here’s tonight’s bedtime story, kids…
10 This is the account of Shem, Ham and Japheth, Noah’s sons, who themselves had sons after the flood.

The Japhethites

2 The sons of Japheth:

Gomer, Magog,Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshek and Tiras.

3 The sons of Gomer:

Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

4 The sons of Javan:

Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites and the Rodanites. 5 (From these the maritime peoples spread out into their territories by their clans within their nations, each with its own language.)

The Hamites

6 The sons of Ham:

Cush, Egypt, Put and Canaan.

7 The sons of Cush:

Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah and Sabteka.

The sons of Raamah:

Sheba and Dedan.

8 Cush was the father of Nimrod, who became a mighty warrior on the earth. 9 He was a mighty hunter before the Lord; that is why it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the Lord.” 10 The first centers of his kingdom were Babylon, Uruk, Akkad and Kalneh, in[d] Shinar.[e] 11 From that land he went to Assyria, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah 12 and Resen, which is between Nineveh and Calah—which is the great city.

13 Egypt was the father of

the Ludites, Anamites, Lehabites, Naphtuhites, 14 Pathrusites, Kasluhites (from whom the Philistines came) and Caphtorites.

15 Canaan was the father of

Sidon his firstborn, and of the Hittites, 16 Jebusites, Amorites, Girga****es, 17 Hivites, Arkites, Sinites, 18 Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites.

Later the Canaanite clans scattered 19 and the borders of Canaan reached from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboyim, as far as Lasha.

20 These are the sons of Ham by their clans and languages, in their territories and nations.

The Semites

21 Sons were also born to Shem, whose older brother was Japheth; Shem was the ancestor of all the sons of Eber.

22 The sons of Shem:

Elam, Ashur, Arphaxad, Lud and Aram.

23 The sons of Aram:

Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshek.

24 Arphaxad was the father of Shelah,

and Shelah the father of Eber.

25 Two sons were born to Eber:

One was named Peleg, because in his time the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan.

26 Joktan was the father of

Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba, 29 Ophir, Havilah and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.

30 The region where they lived stretched from Mesha toward Sephar, in the eastern hill country.

31 These are the sons of Shem by their clans and languages, in their territories and nations.

32 These are the clans of Noah’s sons, according to their lines of descent, within their nations. From these the nations spread out over the earth after the flood.

I forget the verse but “I am they lord they god I create good and I create evil” Ezekiel maybe?

Incest ie sex between close relatives I don’t think was made a sin until I want go say the time of Moses. Maybe In Leviticus somewhere? But yeah by that time there were enough tribes and man had multipled enough where it wasn’t necessary to have children with close relatives. Also things like food, nature, and humans themselves were closer to perfection in the beginning of Adam and Eve so their children could have sex and not have the babies come out all retarded and deformed and whatnot. Lot and his daughters too. Ya. Closer to Perfect as in genetics and basically everything including the food and water were more pure and how they were intended to be - perfect. As it was all good as god saw it was good at least at first when he created it. Over the countless centuries I believe all the things he created that he saw was good (genesis) it all became more perverted and more imperfections spread and grew throughout everything.

The Bible says on judgement day we will be damned or judged for sins we didn’t actually commit but either committed in our hearts (imaginations) and for sins we would have committed but didn’t ever actually commit . I believe that is sin of consciousness?

Yes the Bible contains ll that disgusting stuff and more and tells us worse things will happen in the future.

That said none of this is proof that the Bible is false. That’s always been my opinion only on the Bible containing horrible things in it.

If you don’t believe the Bible is the truth that’s your choice we are all on our own path. But imo because there is sick stuff in the Bible and in the world that god allows that cannot disprove his existence.

Imo If you’re god who could tell you you have to make the world all loving and fair and just? And everything sunshine, happiness and rainbows. You could create anything and everything as you wanted. And give your creations the choice between good and bad. And lay out rules for them but allow them the choice to obey your rules or not. You could work even in mysterious ways choosing to hide your identity from everyone and not interfere In peoples lives even letting bad things happen to the good people, thus putting your entire existence up for debate among the masses. Neat.

I’m not saying you’re trying to say god can’t exist due to bad things happening. And if you do believe that that’s cool with me. I just I guess never got that argument to begin with. Bad Bible verses, bad things in life proves the Bible can’t be real? Or maybe just saying it’s not suitable for kids.

An all powerful god shouldn’t force us all to obey the Bible that would make us robots. Without the choice to do wrong, we couldn’t choose on our own free will to do what is right.
