I have a F82 so that sort of answers the question. The new G80s are perfect on paper for that class of car. G80 has AWD which the F80 series should have had IMO for the amount of HP the cars come with. I would have traded up in a heartbeat if they didn't screw up the grill. Maybe the looks will grow on me.

The E46 M3 will always hold a special place in my heart as the car that best fits the spirit of what the M3 should be. I loved that it was naturally aspirated, inline 6 in a relatively small form factor. Combined with it being my dream car as a teenage the E46 will always be my favorite.

By all accounts the E46 is the best M3 made, so I'd take that one. The people that like the E30 seems to have modded it to the moon and back so it can't really be that good if you need to turn it into something else, a friend had a stock one and it was silly to drive in a bad way.

The newer ones are ugly, too heavy and too big. The modern BMW I'd have would be the M2 CS.

This is the perfect M3 IMO. Not a fan of the older M3s (just wasn't into cars back in their heyday, they don't have any nostalgic value to me) and the E90/92 with its 4.0L V8 is really mediocre to drive (unless you live near a racetrack and that is the sole purpose of the car). Newest M3 is just an abomination, can't get over the design. This, however, strikes a perfect middle-ground to me with its GOAT exterior design and a 3.0L TT I6 that makes incredible power.

Same, but something special bout the e92

Well I already own one, the f80.
Mineral White, 6-spd,lightlymodded.

I like them all but the looks of the new one, I can't get over that no matter how quick it is being the first one available in AWD.
