It's all about maximizing the probability of success. Sure I could be completely honest but this doesn't give me the best odds of getting laid. Being unclear does. I was actually travelling last week and I made the mistake of telling the girl I'm only in town for a few nights and her reply was to enjoy my time but she's looking for something serious. Had I told her I actually moved there I could have gotten laid that night and flown home the next day. See my point?

I lost patience for edgelord logic.

I get you can game the system in the short term by cheating.

It matters to do things sensibly for big investments. A law would need to apply to men paying other men who cheat. Women end up living at free resorts for life when they do things like Max well did and would not end up paying fairly.
