Do you move turtles across the road when you see them crossing?

1 got caught in a net I had in the backyard. It was during the hot Texas summer too. That poor turtle died and stunk up the backyard. Phukker.

As a law you can’t take them from the wild and must leave them where they are at. So when crossing the Road that is the only time I will touch them to move them to the other side of it.
Long legged birds crossing the busy roads too I always move around if a green light or I’ll break for them. But some get hit by careless drivers it’s just a hard part of life.
We did intrude on their land technically but anyone who runs over any wildlife on purpose.. I want to chase them down and jap slap the **** out of them and run them over a bunch of times. Cruel af.

Last time I saw a tortoise was during the last recession under Obama. Was working nightshift with my pops outside of Vegas at the molycorp mine. We were heading back to searchlight around noon after celebrating a bros bday at a casino in Stateline. I was absolutely hammered and passed out. My dad woke me up so I could watch a huge tortoise cross the road for like 10 minutes with him while we waited for it to get out of our way. So no, even when drunk and in the mood to pet animals, I don't move turtles I watch them and bond with whoever I'm with while I'm in awe of their majesty.

I tried once. It was crossing my driveway. When i tried it turned its whole head around and snapped its jaw at me loudly. It was a snapping turtle. Ended up pushing him into a box and bringing him into the woods. Before he left he turned his head around and snapped at me again.
Turtles can be jerks. But some of them can live over 150 years. Got to respect that.

Always more the turtle brahs, but one time I saw a HUGE snapper crossing the road in BFE Kentucky, fat guy in a mini van in front of me stops, pops the hatch and grabs that fukker by the tail and just tosses him in.
Lol’d and felt bad at the same time because you know that turtle was done for.

I think about this all the time but I've never seen a turtle out in the road while driving. I keep welding gloves in my trunk (100% srs) for such an occasion. We have these beautiful gigantic snapping turtles in the rivers here that will cross the road very slowly sometimes.

I’ve done this driving in Florida.
I think its the i275 or 60 that always has a ton of turtles trying to cross. Plus the remains of some that try.

I've only ever seen three crossing the road - one an Eastern Box that we moved across the road, one I passed and it was a long road before I found somewhere to turn around and by the time I got back he was gone, I think one of the cars going in the opposite direction helped him along.
my dad and I saw a big snapper crossing the road right in front of his house, so we pushed him along and thought nothing of it. Couple hours later we let my dog out without thinking and she went ape**** at the tree line - sure enough she found and killed that giant snapper before we could get over to her.

It hasn't happened yet, but damn right I'll stop and save that turtle. Always help animals crew.
