Wait for her to come back an indoctrinated blue haired feminist.

Or a girl that's taken a mile of dink.

I actually agree with this. I went to a private school and many of girls were ok. The ones who slept around the most were also the ones who had alot of trouble at home. Knew a guy who was bullied at home by his dad and he ended up bullying other people at school.

Most guys who bully do so because of factors in their personal lives. Like why would you want to go around being a piece of chit to people unless you're coping for something?

Yep, last few months have been a lot of reflection. Lots of memories. But it is all part of life. She is very excited and ready. Lucky to have an awesome wife and as a family we are very close. Family is everything to us. In 18 years there is only 3 nights we have not been under the same roof (except kid sleep overs...etc). My wife and I dedicated our time to being with our kids and it shows. Even as young adults they still want us in their lives. Quite different than the way I grew up. I did not talk to my parents about anything really. Great to share in your kids lives and truly be a part of it. Even better to have a great wife to share that with!

I posted pics before. She is a very pretty girl, and not just saying that because I am her father. But she has a very pretty mom so I guess that makes sense. Super smart (like tested WISK IV at 139IQ). Going to school for nursing even though she is smart enough to be Dr. She wants to put her future family first and being a Dr would be more sacrifice than she is will to take from her (future) family.

Shoot for the best family life you can have, and everything else is a bonus. "Stuff" does not make you happy. Having enough is important, but there has never been a thing that I have bought that brings me ACTUAL happiness. Not even a Lambo. It is fun, but not something to put importance on.

A Chad to one girl, might not be to another girl.

All of the high self esteem kids did not fall into peer pressure and were actually quite highly respected by other kids. They also did quite well in grades and friendships.

Pfft SS you know that coming from well-to-do families says nothing about the kid's relationships with their parents

One of the hardest things ever is raising a very strong-willed child. But when that child is a girl, you know take reassurance in the fact that she is going to what SHE wants and not what she feels pressured to do.

When you have kids, you realize VERY early on what types of people they are. And that never really changes. It is just the depths of their personalities fill in and become more rich.

Having a daughter as our first born was something I took great care in preparing her for the world. My daughter has grown up in a house where I have never done anything other than put my wife on a pedestal. My kids have never heard me say a bad word about my wife, nor have I ever disrespected her. My kids have grown up seeing two parents that are sill in love 21 years later.

As they got older, they soon realized not everyone is like that. I think my daughter has pretty high standards for what she wants for herself. She does not need a boy to define her life. Very cool to see in her. I have had a very open relationship with my daughter and we can talk about everying. From early on in her life when she gained access to computers, I explained how porn is not real life. And not indicative of how 'real' relationships work. Etc. Trust me, raising a daughter is tough.

Anyway, she is a pretty intense and focus driven girl. Graduated with 4.3gpa and finished almost a full year of college before graduating HS. (all on her own, we never push her to do well in school because she already works too hard). While doing that her Sr yr she was working 30 hours a week at her job the entire year. (very driven kid) Being at the school she is at, I hope she finds someone she enjoys. Her two high school boyfriends, were nice kids, but they lacked the intellect for her to stay interested in them. Both were good looking, athletic type boys. Both treated her very well and I still like them. They were both by the house to say goodbye etc.

Not all life is about sloots and whores. There are still those out there with traditional families and kids who come out with an appreciation for how good life can be. I hope she has fun, and if she wants, she can hook up with who ever she wants to. It certainly wont be to fill a missing need in her or so she feels good about herself or liked.

I have accomplished a lot in life, but my kids are really what I am most proud of. And I cant even take the credit. I just married an awesome girl who made everything in my life better and still does.

Hard to say. Not much to 'comp' to. I managed to buy a 3ac tract in the middle of our town. Most all homes are in subdivisions. Lot is worth about 500. We are in a pretty desirable area. A decent lot to build on is about 250-300. Of course that is not expensive compared to some areas of the country, but our area has the highest medain home prices in our state. Great schools and convenient to major metropolitan city. Good zoning etc. My house is probably worth 2.7-3.

My wife and I have actually talked about downsizing. in 2 years we dont need to worry about school districts. Been shopping land. Like to buy about 15-20 ac and maybe build something a little smaller for when kids are grown. Current home is too big for just us in a few years. 3 living rooms, 5br 5baths, theater, gym, etc. Nice and fun but I still want to design a very modern home to live in. My wife was not in favor of it when I designed this home. But I told her, I would buy her an oceanfront home if we sold this and I can have my modern one.

I just started shopping land last week. Who knows what will happen....

That is kinda me. Dont really let others drive. (other than my son on track). But have let a few guys drive a bit here and there. Sharing in the love of the cars is a lot of fun for sure.

Working out is non-negotiable for me. I took a few days off which turned into a decade! After almost getting killed, I promised to myself that I will always workout and take care of myself. Strong motivation comes from something like that. I have just always made my workouts work around my kids. Eg, when my daughter moved dance studios years back, I just joined a gym near her studio so I would take her to dance and then workout. Etc. You just find ways to make it work. Easy these days. I workout at home. And no matter what is going on, my a$$ is working out mon tues/thur fri. Like the sun rises and sets.

Nice house:
I didnt mean it like that. As you can tell (hopefully) my family means more to me than a dumb home. Going through this, lots of emotions come to mind. When I pulled in from our trip, we were gone all day, it just struck me to take a picture. Not because I wanted to take a picture of my house, but rather something really felt like it was missing.

If that did not come through, that was what I meant. I still cant fathom she grew up so fast!

I feel for you OP! Mine is a senior so I feel that sadness that this is the last year, and I only have one so I don't know what I'll do when she's off at college. It will be so lonely.

At least you have other kids and a loving wife. I'll be all alone as we'll have to divorce at that point since we've been separated but living together for her sake.

Your house is beautiful, too.

Nice brah.

I know someone close who just recently got divorced. One of her commments to her parents was, but you got divorced, too. Even at old age, people still act out small things they learned from their parents.

One thing I disagree with you on is that you should be more strict on who she should date. Parents should always dictate who their kids date. Don’t be so nice and loose about that. Parents always know best in this area since they have more life experience.

What if she ends up bringing a black bf or Korean bf home one day? Id be pist and stop talking to her srs. Interracial dating almost always fails and there’s always regrets in some form.

so much cope.

OP's daughter is going to be getting railed nonstop. that's just life. I do feel bad for OP. I'd lose my mind if i was a father sending my daughter to college, knowing full well what is going to happen.

exactly like SS said, it's basic biology. she's suddenly surrounded by chads every waking moment, tf do you think is going to happen
