This. The film had a lot to say about society and how they treat those deemed unfit for society through no fault of their own. It's basically a re-telling of Taxi Driver + The King of Comedy, and only using the comic book reference to draw in retards who need superheroes to tell them a story. I don't understand why it was such a copy of Taxis Driver and King of Comedy. I can understand those movies being an inspiration but there was a lot of direct stuff.

However, I agree that the social message was very good.

The guy takes care of his sick mom and of course in our society he's a freak for doing it, and so on.

yeah it would've been better as a standalone movie about a mental brah instead of making him the Joker

my main gripe with the whole thing is that I didn't think the Joker depiction was good, but as a movie it was solid

yes i took it as an extremely laboured rip off of King of Comedy. At the time, it was a Scorsese flop, but its now rightly seen as a masterpiece way ahead of its time.

Movie was amazing imo, 9/10. One of the best films of previous decade.

I didn't hate it, but I didn't find it remarkable nor worth the hype.

Miscers think it's a good movie, but at the same time misc looks down on men just like the guy in Joker.

-Incel

Or maybe they found the male struggle portrayed in the movie relatable. But again, most of misc looks down and makes fun of men who struggle like that here daily. Make it make sense misc...

Bought the movie on 4K after hearing all the great reviews, and couldn’t watch more than 30 minutes . No idea how it ended

It portrayed something alot of men struggle with in modern society which is why it resonated with alot of ppl. I thought it was a pretty solid portrayal on mental health. The acting was goat.
