Literally should be 0/10 for most people. I'm not saying there aren't worse jobs to have relative to other jobs but largely who the f*ck wants to be working ever unless it coincides with a life passion/hobby.

I run a science and engineering consultancy.

Man...

I hate to say mine's 4/10 or so right now. In some ways I have it pretty damn good (especially compared to some of the major shyt jobs I've worked in the past), but sometimes, especially lately, I've been getting really sick of it.

I buy shyt for the military. The stuff I buy is mainly electronics shyt (wiring boards, circuit card assemblies, so on and so forth). Lots of issues with getting quotes, obsolescence, trying to form price justifications, dealing with vendors with shyt delivery histories, there not being enough money for completed contracts to get funded so they just end up sitting, all the various other red tape things + idiots (who don't do the job themselves) coming up with other rules and policies to make shyt more difficult, and a widevariety of other silliness - all while having a shyt ton of requisitions that just keep pouring in. It gets VERY tedious and can be very aggravating too.

Plus side though- WFH, good work life balance, flex time, credit time, pretty good pay and benefits, etc.

Used to be higher rating a few years ago probably but now I'm just over it. I have to do all positions in the warehouse every day and manage it. This leads to me making mistakes or missing smalls things to do because I forget. Nothing big, but man it is breaking my spirit. In the process of job searching and interviewing still. Switching careers entirely. I keep getting contacted for big warehouse management or operations management jobs where I'd be making a **** ton more, but I might rope if I go to another warehouse. Hard to find a decent paying entry level job in another field though.



If any miscers have good ideas for different career paths I could take or try out that would be worthwhile financially, I'm all ears.

7/10 is about as high as I think it gets. I cannot think of any job/career that I'd actually consider a 10/10. Maybe if I did porn smashing HBB's all day, but then my actual life would probably suffer.

Work for a USPS Distribution Center that works almost exclusively with parcels (no paper mail). I pick up small boxes and put them into sacks, then I put the sacks into bigger boxes when they get full. Um.. Some nights I sit down and push boxes from my left onto a conveyor on my right, making sure the bar code isn't facing down, mostly watching netflix while doing this.

It's super easy mindless work that requires no thinking. There is TONS of down time where i basically get paid while I watch netflix, or listen to youtube/podcasts/audiobooks. Basically 20-30 minutes of work for every hour that I'm there, and that's with good work ethic, not being a lazy twat.

I recently got trained for a much higher paying position in the computer control room that controls all the equipment in the building from a central location. It's a lot more mentally tasking, but not really "hard" after the 2 months of training was over. But I don't get to work in there very often 'cause it's picked via seniority and I'm lowest on the totem pole. I only go in when people call out or if people with seniority don't wanna do it that night.

Lotta Chill people I work with, plenty of time to socialize if that's what you want. If you have a drug of choice... somebody in the building sells it. I take my vape pen to work sometimes, and get drunk occasionally.



24 days Annual leave a year, sick days (per year amount increases like every 5 years or so). Annual and Sick leave roll over each year to 520 total (each). Good health insurance. A set schedule. No forced overtime, and if you do want to work overtime you get to choose if you want it before shift, after shift, or on a day off. Anything over 8 hours in a day is 1.5x base pay, anything over 10 hours is 2x base, anything over 50hrs a week is 2x base. It's a union job so it's pretty much impossible to get fired unless you steal or some chit.

Really happy with it.

I'd say 8/10 only because I'm in a situation that works for me given a chit ton of perspective I've gained working for chit-tier companies.
