Daily reminder that those numbers are heavily skewed because once people hit that salary they will often incorporate a company and pay themselves a nominal salary while retaining profits in the company. So their “salary” will be quite modest even if their personal company is doing 7 digits

Worked for the same company in finance since 1996. Invested as much as possible and make decent Invesment income. Also been mining crypto since 2015, all adding up to mid six figures. Might retire soon I'm almost 50.

I'm under the assumption that most miscers add MINIMUM 20-40k to their salary or what they say they make. For certain jobs/careers you can do a check and see what they actually make, but most just fake it.

Everyone makes 6 figures lol. Everyone is out here investing in 15 different things and making great returns.

I know it's BS because most of the newer certified controllers, like myself, who are in a moderately priced area that's not too crazy.... and we make 160-180k (depending on how crazy you are with OT).. and we are all still saving for our houses, just recently bought some moderately newer cars, still saving for x, y, z.. and we make more than 90-95% of the country.

I mean what kind of investment did they even make in crypto to begin with... If you're gonna say mommy and daddy helped give you 10-20k and you invested then sure you might have seen some moderate returns, but in the end you really didn't make a crazy amount. And that's saying that you invested that much to begin with.

Most miscers work regular ass 9-5 jobs, where they make 60-80k or are laborers or part of a union where maybe they are better off.

My base pay is $130k, add bonuses and such and a couple of rental properties and I hit just under $200k last year.

I'm a systems admin, and if we're gonna be honest, I don't do shyt. But they keep paying me, so I'm not gonna say no.

What exactly is tech sales?

Im in cyber right now doing mostly cloud security assessments. Havent cracked 200k yet but im close, cant wait. One raise away from it
