Sure, that happens. It doesn't alter the fact that the art market is more consistent than most others and always does well in recessions. Big money moves into tangible assets like art.

The real tea is that it's a giant pyramid, but a pyramid but the wealthiest of the wealthy who have built it. And it's a market that can be pretty consistently controlled with galleries and artists not polluting the market with millions of "stock" of the same work(s).

Speculative NFT assets are interesting, but are too volatile for consistency as it's not a proven market. Still, if you believe in Crypto assets then it might be worth a punt considering how low the trading volume has been for NFTs and blue chip projects. I'm sure it'll pick back up is what I'm saying.
