We have Congress and the Supreme Court to hold the White House accountable.

Deceiving people to make money, i.e. Capitalism, is the American way. Buyer beware.

It is definitely a problem that Americans are so easily deceived these days, but there is no one to blame for that but ourselves and it's more a topic of that other thread asking why crime is so bad, which we agree is rooted in work ethic and education.

Most of the best attorneys that specialize in lawsuits don't charge their client. They take a percent of the settlement. IE taking 30% of 470 mil is a lot more lucrative then getting paid $1000 an hour.

How exactly is congress and the SC holding the Biden admin accountable? Sounds like youre conflating checks & balances with actual accountability. I dont see congress grilling Biden for his lack of accountability on the border.

How old is the problem with Yellow Journalism? Look back through history, the media like to claim it was their job to be the most trusted, fair and balanced name in news, but it was always a title they gave themselves.

I agree it's circular, political opportunists use media to sway public opinion to vote in representatives, but if the wheel ever stopped spinning only Congress and the Supreme Court have any authority over the White House after the voters pick their party.

Whether the authority is actually used or not to hold Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama/Trump/Biden accountable is another issue, often explained in the media of course, LOL.


Edit: in a perfect world I would also like the media to only speak the truth under an oath of integrity. I also would like Cocoa Pebbles to be part of a nutritionally balanced breakfast and to know who those nine dentists are that recommended Colgate over Crest.

It's called a contingency. The best attorneys have time that is valuable to them and don't work on contingency for a case that has a very, very low chance of payout. 30% of $0 is $0, son.
