There is nothing more test boosting than catching and killing your own meat. If you are standing around for hours then you aren't even really fishing. Fishing is about learning patterns, perfecting technique, and becoming better. Then there is the whole connection back to mother earth. Nothing really gets that connection to nature like procuring your own food. Then there is the camaraderie if you wish to share your techniques by take others who are always thankful and remember a good fishing trip forever.
Most of the meat I eat aside from chicken I have seen alive.
