Please tell me what rights the bank has to someone's real property.

The only thing they have is collateral on the property in the event of a default.

Compared to the rights a lord of the land has to inspect your underwear drawer and make sure it's up to snuff, or he'll evict you. And no pets, kids, smoking, or visitors after 9PM.

No they do not. Legally they can't even kick you out if you stop paying them. They have to sue you in court for the right to collect on a default and you can stop it at any time by paying your arrears. And you can always refinance at any time if the rates become more favorable. You can actually lower your payments too if you want by refinancing, putting your equity in your pocket, and spreading the payments out for a new 30 year term.

They let you do that even if you're 80 and have no chance of ever finishing the payments.

Some broke homecels just left me a voicemail crying about his wife cheating on him with the gardener, and not having enough money to pay the mortgage.

He was begging for me to not foreclose him and offered me ¨gifts¨ .
