I'd tend to agree that cosmetic surgery/procedures never look good in person and comedic at best in pics. Though I think the worst overall trend is the high waisted jeans with chunky sneakers and grandma glasses combo. Just because it's in style doesn't mean it looks good. Saying this because you run into this trend more than the filler sht more frequently.

Botox really isn't the problem. It's fillers and lifts that create the look you're referring too. I own part of a medical aesthetics clinic, and you would be shocked at how many people routinely get a few units of botox to keep them from getting wrinkles/more wrinkles.

You wouldn't even notice where most patients get it

I've heard, and have no idea if it is true, that fillers themselves are not necessarily the problem - but that fillers and lifts require maintenance and women are opting for more filler because it will need "less maintenance"?

Doesn't seem to be the case as fillers have a finite amount of time they last regardless of where you inject them. It's like anything else. You get lip fillers once, get used to the size, and decide why not a whole syringe instead of half this time (they are only sold in whole syringes which exacerbates the problem). Face and jaw fillers is where you start to see people go to far. That in combination with a smooth face from botox can create some wild looks.

Right but I think that was what I was kinda getting at, so if you get lip fillers they last x months so they might get more filler injected cause they think it will take longer before they hvae to go back to get more.

Someone may think that but all people who get jubiderm filler will fill out forms and are told "this lasts 9 months". The amount doesn't matter as it breaks down at the same rate

I'm not denying the average person using that kind of reductive reasoning btw. I absolutely believe some girls will just say "if a is b then c must d".

I think Botox in moderation is ok, but the lip fillers are always obvious and fake.

I guess you know a girl with fillers is likely willing to fuk you for some financial benefit. But they look terrible.

This is actually very true and something that I don't think our larger culture wants to admit to itself yet.....not just because we are in a female-dominated culture / society, but because despite Globohomo's best attempts, "sex work" is not accepted.

There is a HUUUUUGE percentage of girls under 30 who have participated in sex-work....AKA prostitution in one form or another, even the ugly / fat ones. I don't think society wants to admit that a good 50% of all sub-30 girls are current or former prostitutes. It was destabilize the entire system. It's the same reason why it's impossible to get DNA testing mandated at the birth of every child...it's NEVER going to be allowed, you can't even suggest it.....the reason is obvious.

Exactly. Humans look fine as they are. Aging is a process we all go through and should accept with grace.

Botox just gives you smooth skin without any wrinkles. I started using it a few years ago and I love it.
Disagree completely. It's extremely weird seeing old women with botox. I can pick it out a mile away and it looks like painful because it removes the emotion within the face.

All the girls in the OP have botox and injections. Click on stefi Cohen's instagram and look at the the videos. Her face is a blimp now from botox. No wrinkles? Talk about no femininity.

I don't think I'd say worst. I think vanity is #1, but it really is all tied together. We all get old; I've been with my wife since she was 20. Looking at those old pictures can certainly be trippy, and I constantly ask myself where the time went. Over the weekend I did a slide show of old pictures with the kids on our projector.

We both look good for our ages, but I'm not 20 anymore and neither is she. I'm OK with that.

A friend of mine (works in tv) gets regular botox and his face looks fine in a still image, but once you start making expressions the botox is kind of obvious because like certain parts of the face are frozen and then other places (like the temple area) get wrinkles, so it is obvious botox if you know what you are looking for. Additionally, peoples faces are supposed to be "expressive" and when you shut down all those muscles you are limited the personality that can come out with different facial expressions, so you end up looking like a mannequin giving off subconsciously creepy vibes.

Agreed. I don't mind a good facelift. But beyond that, just leave it alone. You know, put on some makeup and keep a healthy bodyfat (not too skinny, not too fat). The botox, fillers, etc all looks weird

Lip fillers make women look like groupers.
I would add the obviously fake eyelashes that look like they cost $1.99 at a gas station.
