I'm about to pull the trigger on a model 3 performance after new years. How's the battery degradation on the 2020? I have a friend who's battery degraded over 20% in a few years but that doesn't seem to be the norm...
Also is it better to buy or lease these things? I figure for the price of two lease terms (6 years) might as well just buy it at the start as it'll amount to the same.

My favorite thing about tesla cars is not having to use the fuking brake. The regen braking is phenomal.
My least favorite thing about the tesla is the seats and interior. The dash is so plain and ugly. Its almost as if the car was designed and built by someone who had never built a car before.

And, yes, one pedal driving is underrated. People always mention it and say, "It's cool", but it's way better than that lol.

"According to Elon Musk on Twitter, Tesla car batteries are supposed to technically last for 300,000 to 500,000 miles, which is 1,500 battery cycles. That's between 22 and 37 years for the average car driver,"

There's precedent for battery replacements now, although the batteries have changed since the early 2010s, and the warranty provided tells you something about how the company views the risks with current models
Tire wear is another thing particularly with the performance models, combination of huge weight + instant torque can chew up tires like crazy. But that's the price you pay for fun

When I traded my SRT Charger for my Hellcat I came out completely even. When the Hellcat was totaled I made out $20k to the good. I didn't do great on the truck as far as the amount, but I owed quite a bit less b/c of the Hellcat money. Still, it's something I don't mind b/c I love driving nice cars and appreciate them a lot. It's one of my joys in life, so I understand I'll have to pay for that.
Also, I get low interests rates b/c I have great credit and I don't buy new anymore so I don't take that hit.

The more people that make this mistake the faster electricity will start rising in cost; it's already going up in a lot of states
You would've saved money spending the $400/month on gas vs getting a Tesla in the long run
There is no argument for EV's unless they come out with a $10,000 vehicle that can go 350 miles in real world conditions

Welcome to the M3P master race brah! I have a 2021 that looks just like yours but with the Überturbine wheels. Mine isn't loud because I believe they added the dual pane windows for the 2021+ model years. Drives like a ****in beauty. Nothing feels better than smashing the accelerator to pass whatever you want.

Nah, the only Audi I really liked was an RS5 coupe. The Tesla is a little more practical and was easier to find for me. When my Hellcat got stolen I was heading toward a C7 Z06, then an RS5, then settled on this. I'm happy with my decision, but I still love ICE cars and have absolutely no hate for them.
I also have a 1930 Ford truck that I have did a little work on and I hope to finish someday.
