be honest, when you were told you were going you were dancing around your bedroom in your underwear shouting "yiiiiiippppeeeeeeeeee!!!"
just eat lots of cacio pepe (cacho a paypay) and drink great wine

I'm a "drop me off in the Yukon with a pair of snowshoes and see you in three weeks" kind of guy.
I enjoyed Cambodia, Cuba, Mexico. I enjoy driving around the US. This will be fun, just trying to get a feel for what there is to look forward to there.
So far I'm told wine, architecture, etc.
Plus I'll be the one driving a rental car a lot. If I can drive in Cambodia, the Italian narrow roads shouldn't be an issue. Unlike Cambodians, I assume Italians somewhat obey stop signs and street lights

Still waiting for locations, OP.
I have been all over, from Sicily (hnngh at those ricotta filled donuts standing at a coffee bar) to Amalfi, Modena, etc.
E.g., in Modena one of the best things we did is visit an Acetaia:https://giusti.it/en/my woman organized it as a surprise. Something as 'simple' as 100 year aged balsamic - what an eye opener. We picked up a bottle of this raspberry one they make and a drizzle of that over a raspberry panna cotta at a dinner party blew people away.
There's a lot to do - I hope you like eating though

Girl is Italian and her family travelled there a few years ago in the summer (brutally hot that year)
Said Rome is horrible. Venice was meh.
Capri was great. Florence was ok. I think she said her trip was too rushed though, booked through a tour company.
The food was ok but servings were small as fuk. Breakfast was a lot different compared to the USA style.
