I will spend money on a guitar or golf gear or flight simulator gear though lol.

I don't like to overspend on clothing. Will wait a whole year for a single piece to go on clearance if need be and prefer American made brands. Aside from the usual suits and dress shoes my pricier items are more hobby related: ski jackets, hardshells, hiking shoes, running shoes, etc.

Spent a lifetime obese and after a year of weightloss I walked into Neiman Marcus with no budget in mind. Was absolutely an incredible feeling buying nice, high end clothes that fit me for the first time ever. Jackets, suits, shirts, pants, shoes you name it. Probably spent 20k that day and have had a clothes problem ever since.

I splurge on more investment pieces. The locally owned high end men’s clothing store had a nice blazer that I wanted for a long time. It cost $1500. They had a going out of business sale and managed to get it for $650.
A suit that set me back about $2,5000.
And few pair of jeans for $180-200. (Rag and Bone and AG)
Had everything tailored and after 3 years they still fit and look great. My cheap jeans couldn’t last 1-2 years before holes and tears appeared. Selvedge jeans can last many, many years and just look better and better the more you wear them.

$300 on boots.
That’s about my max.

I literally don't own a pair of jeans that's less than $200, that's not a flex, I'm just not a brokie.
I invest in good quality shoes - To Boot New York $500 each pair (for nice leather boots not sneakers) which isn't really bad because they've both lasted 5+ years so far and look like new.
I have probably 10 Blazers, Ted Baker, Canali, Reiss, Boss - lowest was probably $200ish highest $800ish
I pretty much don't own a shirt that's less than $100-125
2 leather jackets (1 Black, 1 Brown) both $1k - 1200ish
2 Suede jackets (1 black, 1 brown) Both 600-800ish
As you can see a very solid wardrobe isn't that expensive....$10-15k over 3-5 years??
The key is to stop buying cheap chit that you need to constantly replace, buy chit that lasts, buy chit that is NOT trendy, nothing with logos, just good quality staples....then add to it every year or replace the FEW items which need replacing. Not rocket science.
Shop at Nordstrom or Bloomingdales and develop a relationship with the personal shoppers there....I don't even have to go into the store anymore, my girl knows what I like, she'll pull items for me, ship them to my house and charge my card without me doing anything. The ONLY reason I'll even go into the store is for alterations on a nice Blazer / suit or something.

Hiking boots and Jordan 1, both around $190+.
When I was in Germany, bought some Hugo Boss jeans for $200 cuz I was looking for some cool bootcut that I cant find anymore in my country.
Edit: forgot about my leather jacket I bought around a decade ago, around $700(srs).

$200+ tax on boots I think.
Although I used to drop $200 plus on soccer shoes every year pretty much.

I have a Rab coat and bought my wife an Arc’teryx coat for Christmas. The arct’teryx is nice, but hard to justify comparing it to my less expensive Rab.

I spent $950 on a Varsity jacket. It was so costly because it was purely customized and I ordered it only one piece. Shipping charges are not included yet. I ordered it from Seven X Sports Pakistan to US

I think I spent $400-450 on a 3 piece suit from the men's wearhouse.
Excluding suits, I bought fitted clothes from Origin Maine (jeans and shirts). Shirts went for about $30-40, and I think the jeans were $100 each. I'm frugal, but i usually shop in the middle when it comes to buying something. I don't believe in buying the top of the line, but I hate cheap chit too.

Bought a Indiana Jones leather jacket that was made by the same guy who made the one for the movie in England, think that ran about $500 but it was back in high school so I can't remember too well.
