All I saw here was Joe Biden's stutter and some of the compensating strategies he employs. That's how he has learned how to manage it.


The long pauses, hesitation before speaking, stopping mid sentence etc. I've had a stutter myself which has been on and off and I've done some of the same things myself when speaking in public, and anxiety about the stutter will create a negative reciprocal feedback mechanism which just makes the whole thing worse. So you do things like this. Pause to carefully think about words, speak more slowly to make sure your enunciation is proper etc.

Does it reflect on intelligence or mental competency? Not at all. I've got multiple degrees one of which is a research Masters and I'm basically at the end of a PhD. Stutter means nothing since I'm articulate AF in written word.
