You should take my advice and just do bodyweight until you can do 4 sets of 15, nice and controlled reps

Cope for what? Its one of the few exercises that has true functional utility especially if you're in to hiking/climbing chit.
Weighted pullups/chinups give you more stamina to lift your own body weight at a greater frequency or under loads (a backpack for example).

I didnt start doing weighted pull ups until I could do 4 sets of 10
After you get more knowledge you realize you don’t need weighted pull ups, , its a cope exercise. Kinda like deadlifts

ITT weaklings that can't do weighted pull-ups claim weighted pull-ups are cope.
Lift or don't lift. No one cares. But please stop with the "X lift is cope," BS.
Just for some context on its functionality. Let's say you have a real stakes job where climbing or lifting yourself up, body weight + 50-80 lbs of gear on, is a potential life saving movement then it's actually pretty important. If you work from home or in a cubicle all day then it's obviously not a necessity.

Sounds like OP is sad he can barely even do bodyweight pullups. Once you get to 20+ pullups you don't want to do high rep sets all the time, better to just chill with 3-8 reps and extra weight added.

Always start back day with bb rows crew. If you still need weight for pullups after that then more power to you for me I'm always so weak and exhausted after rows that bodyweight pullups works fine
