im glad i watched it as it was intended growing up.

i bet if you're new and watch it you'll think it mostly sucked

but having that big gap between the original trilogy and then the prequel trilogy was good. the other ones suk except rogue one

4,5,6 1,2,3. The original release order. Skip the new ones they suck. 1,2,3 arent as good as the OG 3, but still are watchable.

Fuuuukk man, hard to say. Imo there's 2 real options:

A) 4,5,6. 1,2,3.

or

B) 1,2,3. 4,5,6.

I tend to lean towards option B.

Piss on the Disney trilogy and throw it in the trash.

Watch in release order. I just finished watching all the movies just now.

It's also more fun to watch and imagine this whole star wars scenario to be a euphemism for christianity.

Jedi = prophets
force = God
jedi strength = more faith gets you more powers

feminism cancer infected the movies in episodes 7, 8 and 9 after disney bought star wars.
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

The prequels are good. They have the best light saber battles. Skip the Disney trash though.

The original trilogy are the only 'must see' films so start with those. Some rereleases of them have been altered to include weird additional cgi/audio when george lucas went full autist so I'd recommend watching the "Harmy's Despecialized Edition" fan edit to be safe.

Watch IV, V, VI movies only

If you want to know what happens in episodes I,II,III.

I guess you could watch the 1st one, but then just play Star Wars Battlefront II to get an idea of what happened in II and III. Better than the movies.

I'd watch it in chronological order because imo that's also the order in how good they get. Obviously I watched them growing up so I saw 4,5,6,1,2,3....but 4-6 are vastly superior so if you blow your load on those first, you won't have as much fun with 1-3. Also, I feel like while the Disney movies sucked ass, Rogue 1 was the only exception and always actually good...certainly better than 1-3 and the best part is it takes place between episodes 3 and 4.

Cliffs: ultimate way to watch it for a beginner is

1,2,3,Rogue 1,4,5,6.

Srs, and I've seen these movies more times than you can imagine so I know my chit.
