Weren't you supposed to be on a plane? All I can say is odds are not in your favor. No matter how well you know their culture or language, it's their word against yours, and yours means nothing. Having been in a police station abroad giving a statement for 3-4 hours. They want to be done with you as quickly as you don't want to be there either.
