Basically the separation on lines of race, political party and income will continue. Nobody is going to start a civil war because when it comes down to it, the people who are major gun advocates are a small percentage of the population isolated in a few states.

It is interesting and troubling I think that blue state politicians and followers no longer believe in merit. They also are obsessed with race and skin color. Education has less value. On face value it seems blue run states will be seeing a declining standard of living, with less opportunities.

Red states are more interested growing their economies. They want to see lower crime levels, law and order, better schools, attracting businesses to relocate there.

These are very general states to make of course.

It does seem to me that northern and southern states are heading in different directions. It used to be that blue states were more like red states of today. Blue state politicians build their government system around private unions though. With the demise of private unions due to government regulations removing the need for unions, companies relocating to red states or over seas, and automation, blue state politicians have decided they don't wan to compete. Instead their are trying to create a government based more on woke ideologies. I wish that wasn't the case.

I think there's a "New Normal" coming. And I honestly can't predict what it's going to look like, or what "the powers that be" intend, or how, exactly, it will all come about.

I also think that there will be something like a "Civil War" that will usher us into the "New Normal". Right now, we are either seeing the "Civil War", or at the very least, major preparations for it.

We are definitely on a path, however, that is increasingly untenable. Public spirit won't stand for it much longer. Either we, the general public, will "rise up", or be pushed down even worse than we are now. For one, inflation is seriously out of control. Also, I am not 100% sure I can agree with how the current U.S. government chooses to "communicate" with its people.

I don't think that the "New Normal" will be restricted only to the U.S., however I suspect that the "New Normal" might apply to the U.S. moreso than it does to the rest of the world, and I'm not sure whether that will be a "good" thing or a "bad" thing.

We might not have an actual "war" with a lot of casualties. But we might see a lot of people emptying out of jail, and a lot of people who aren't in jail now will be. There WILL be plenty of "intangible" casualties, however. I think that a lot of trust in "the system" and various entities that were previously regarded as very reliable purveyors of information will not be trusted again for a very long time. I think that a lot of the "casualties" are going to be people's minds - people's minds will be worse off, I think, overall.

I would also comment that the vast majority of Chinese have no concept of community since most of them grew up as only-childs due to the One Child Policy. This means the concept of siblings, cousins and extended families is alien to them.
