Lol, dbz and guidos were a huge deal when I was growing up. I actually only realised they were called guidos like last year (thought they were those 40 year old guys at the bar before that), but I've always seen pictures/videos of them like 10 years ago. They're just juiced guys, mountains of muscle with gelled up hair with the coolest attitude, so epic. Actually caring about looking as epic as possible unlike now where guys just do nothing and collect body fat/complain about gluten content for a living and stare at a phone for 13 hours a day.

I'm basically into all culture from pre 2012 anyways. Culture was far better for men/women back then, it all made sense.

I don't know if I read what you said right, but if the clowns born in the late 90s-2002 were born in the late 70s/80s, they'd probably be normal. It's not a genetic defect or something wrong inside of them, they're just exposed to exceptionally weird stuff which is incidentally creating the biggest/messed up freaks to walk this earth. Nobody functions normally. In what world are clowns meant to be on screens more than half their day excluding sleep? That alone is a real mess.

I'm the anomaly for whatever reason. I didn't even take a step back to realise it. It was always in my mind and I just wondered what the heck clowns are doing and how they can't see how different 2010 was to this weird time. Footage/pictures of the older eras is still there, it's just unbelievablely different.

I don't know why but all the fighting culture I see just seems to be gossip/name calling and spicing up life stories that wouldn't even be 1/10th as interesting as a 2000s guys typical afternoon.

I swear everything died out after 2009, but really it was around 2012/2013.

I'm telling you man that bro energy or whatever hasn't existed since like 2014. Men have become feminized docile introverts since then. The energy simply doesn't exist anymore. Funny thing is you didn't used to just see it irl everywhere you went, but it was present in the pop culture, celebrities were like that etc. I can look back in the past but it's just a distant memory at this point. Yeah i've noticed the lack of awareness also, dudes don't hesitate to say corny/weird things nobody calls them out on being weird or anything. Average dude now gets offended by literally anything so you can't have those bro conversations anymore.

Have you also noticed that dudes nowadays have such awkward mannerisms and body language? Average dude in 2011 would be full of energy flailing his arms around spitting jokes and just saying whatever now they would just be standing there quietly with their phone in hand stumbling over words with no swag whatsoever. It's so weird man. Every decade the social skills have gotten worse, but man it amplified x100 since 2011.

What's equally weird is how men don't do anything anymore. Greg Plitt said back in the day you have to push yourself to feel alive or whatever. Nobody does this anymore. Just sedentary scrolling social media all day and playing video games. It's so hard for me to do this but i have to because nobody wants to do anything anymore lol. If i could i'd be out doing stuff all day and then save the screen time for evening time. That would be the perfect life.

Nah bro 2011-18.
We always met up, went to gym, ate afterwards, drank a beer outside at a bar etc. mostly used phone to contact sloots. & by contact i mean arranging meet ups. Ordered a arbnb for a Night & had a group of girls come, pre drink, hit club, bring home girls to apartment afterwards etc. or just call eachother randomly & meet up. Drink some whiskey & hit the town on a weekday. So many great memories from unplanned events like that with the boyz.

Only reason i quit that lifestyle apart from moving is that i found a wifey & so many of our activities where sloot related. I dont see the point in hanging out wirh females without fuking them. Also got a jail sentence which fuked me up & made me switch gears in life.

My point is that cool non cookie cutter people still exist but they usually arent working 9-5 officecel jobs.

It's not that. In previous eras the theme seemed similar but now everything is completely different. Basically all guys need pats on their backs and everyone has some kind of mental issue. People before just seemed more outgoing and much more switched on.

How do u compare 2011 to 2022? Read through this thread and then make judgement. I swear I am going crazy now. Everyone is just living in an awkward bubble. Nobody even talks when they go out, it's weird.

Yeah people used to never discuss politics or anime idk why it's like this now. I still wanna just talk about goals, lifting, cars, music and stuff like that. People just repeat the stuff they heard from the media or social media now but with no hobbies. Hobbies is what always created friendship before but you can't do that anymore because people just wanna repeat stuff they heard online. Even if you don't care about it they will lecture you lol. It didn't used to be like this man. Ppl literally just watch screens all day now I don't get it

We can easily set goals and try to self improve and spend more time outside doing stuff or even go talk to people and our families and stuff but people don't want to they just wanna talk about politics and scroll social media. That's what we're saying it wasn't like this before all this screen time was something we did later or after we did stuff irl. Exactly, those Greg Plitt videos contained good advice. Ofcourse it was gym oriented but it was applicable for even regular peoples lives. However I don't think anyone predicted that 2016+ would be the way it is. He always made it a point to say that you should push yourself yet now people just do the bare minimum? He was a product of his time, lots of guys at that time were bursting with high energy/charisma and probably went to like 20 places a day. Except most of those guys didn't care to capture it on camera. The personas from that time would destroy the current crap in the spotlight.

Peoples lives now don't even make sense. It's all about technology 24/7 and everything is just a poorly recycled version of older eras.

Nobody even has cool attitudes or walks. Sounds dumb but guys just had that normal tough energy when they did stuff. Guys now struggle to buy cereal due to confidence issues whereas guys 20 years ago were having having fun fixing their neighbours cars.

Life is so easy anyways, everything is spoon-fed and everyone goes back to their house/village where they have no idea on how things work. People are lucky the world works the way it does, where you barely have to do anything and get a full house and tons of stuff. Would love to see the average male put up a shelf or diy anything without power tools.

I read maybe last year that Frankie Muniz (Malcolm from Malcolm in the middle) lost his memories due to intense migraines (he was talking to steveo about it I think). I wonder what happened now. I get migraines pretty often too.

People are lucky the world works the way it does, where you barely have to do anything and get a full house and tons of stuff. Would love to see the average male put up a shelf or diy anything without power tools.
Yeah but Greg Plitt was always doing something. He always had a goal in mind. To go to the gym every day and look better than the day before. I'm sure he did other stuff and didn't sit around on social media all day. It's all anyone does now. Why does nobody have any drive or passion for anything now? It isn't even fun scrolling social media all day and watching tv. People used to only do this a few hours per day max. Now it's all day.

Yeah exactly the apps do and tell everybody everything now people even order their food through apps now. There's no novelty. Just one cheap dopamine after another all day. I'm all about the journey and competition in life but there is none anymore. Agree with stuff being recycled too. On youtube these guys will make the same advice videos for months on end. No originality whatsoever just repeating what has already been said in the same exact way. How are people even enjoying doing this? It's not just a trend this has been going on for several years now at least. Maybe even close to a decade. There's no way the average person was like that in 2011. People had original personalities and everyone was cool. Not just acting like everyone else.

Everything is just so low vibration now. I really just feel like people are so addicted to tech they can't ever unplug anymore for even 10 minutes. Only some people are able to process all of the information in a day and unplug and do other stuff.

Dude, you had to live in the 80s and 90s when if you were alone, you were totally alone and there as next to no contact with anyone. You could call for takeout, if you live in a town, and not much else.

People now never have to be out of touch with anyone any time.

Exactly, he encouraged a healthy lifestyle that was pretty normal. I mean how many guys really stayed indoors as the norm? You'd be an outcast nobody but now it seems that social interactions are all online. Most of the guys I see when I go out look like they're having the worst time ever.

Stuff is so weird. You know how forums basically covered all bases with hobbies/interests? That all seems to be taken over by reddit or weird equivalents. If u actually dive into them, man, it's just killjoy/low octane energy everywhere. Stuff is so pussiified and wimpy, I don't get it. You can tell they're typing up stuff just for those online points (like really dumb petty jokes just to get points) It's just so stale.

Yeah I don't get that aswell. This recycled scene has been going in for a very long time. All the original/cool stuff has already released and now it's just dejavu, but 100x worse with all the extra hidden messages/poor scripts/garbage image stale people.

There's got to be 100 Jersey Shores, 100 Simpsons, 100 wwfs, 100000 fitness gurus, 100000 **** song writers etc by now I swear. Not to even get started with sports like football/mma or whatever. It's just the same thing every time with stale/boring people every time trying to make boring jokes/stale headlines.

So what is causing this? I know exactly what you mean though it's like everywhere you go now there's at least a person or two that want to spoil things for everyone else or whatever. Like they are operating on some really low energy. Nobody was like this in 2011. Like you mentioned if someone even spent more than an hour online they'd be considered a nerd by the general population.

Yeah exactly nobody discusses anything original anymore it's just the same stuff that's been said thousands of times. It's like people are losing their uniqueness they once had or something. Just the same repetitive low energy everywhere you go now. Thing is in 2011 that wouldn't happen because there were so many high energy people that they would just prop everyone else up and there would be a strong community. Dudes don't even prop each other up anymore. I mean i can't remember the last time i saw that.

Yeah i feel like we are in a different dimension too. I mean i could see being addicted to this stuff for a while but we are coming up on a decade now and it's time to move on. I know i'm just completely bored of all of this social media chit. I think people are still addicted though they don't even think about self improvement or changing anymore.
