I feel like the R34's haven't aged as well, I used to love the styling but over time I have come to prefer the R33 and R32. I mean it was one of the first cars to get a media screen in it's interior, a really cool gimmick for the time, but it's something that has become so standard that has been heavily improved upon since. The R35 is definitely a more desirable car IMO unless you're one of those crazy asses that wants to go all out on some big power RB26 tune, but there's hardly anywhere you could drive it.

He has one.... They are technically not allowed to be imported into US yet. Have not hit the 25 year mandate. He picked up a very nice one in Japan, but has it sitting in Canada and is not bringing it in the country yet. The Feds crushed a few that were brought in illegally. So he is having his import company do the paperwork to bring it in on a Film and Media permit. The guy has resources and is setting up a company just so he can get this car in the US. Until all the paperwork is filed and he knows it wont get crushed, he is storing it in Canada.

He says he like the 33 better. But yea, he will be one of the first to have a legit R34 in the US soil.

True Hakosuka is probably the nicest looking car ever especially with the right set of wheels.

If you have a questionable import with some grey area/illegal chit going on you gotta be careful, they will come after you hard and just crush your chit.

Could you tell me right quick what would be a better motor for my Skyline, a Gallo 12 or a Gallo 24?

So awesome.

My dream car is a R34 GTR V-spec, and that's coming from someone with a couple modded BMW M cars.

I really want to pick up an imported one, but prices have been going sky high with no signs of slowing down. I'm just not in a position (yet) to buy a car for $100k, sight unseen and deal with the issues if a 25 year old car. It's a legit $150k investment on these cars these days to have it where you want it.

I live in the city with limited space... but I could see a future version of myself with more space trading in the M4 Comp for a X5M or M5C daily and a R34 weekend toy... but the reality is that in 5 years a 911 or Cayman GT4 will cost considerably less than an R34.

Yep....they make it a point to do it! And they do it publicly. Even if you are down the chain of ownership, it will be seized and crushed. No compensation given. Your SOL!

Long story short, there are ZERO R34's personally owned in this country legally. They cant be imported until 25 years old. The only way to posses one legally is under certain permits, one being film and production. That is the route my friend is going.

There was a company out of Florida importing them. The state of FL began actively pursuing the cars and VINs. This kind of stuff gives those in power a big hard-on and they take pleasure in crushing cars.
Tons of vids on youtube of JDM crushing if you search it. But this vid lays out details.
