I normally use a dark roast mixed with a few other savory spices. It's gives your steak a nice crust and adds an earthy, smoky flavor. It's also works well as a tenderizer.

Because all these Michelin star chefs and home cooks on youtube are teaching me how to cook thin steaks wrong on youtube.Someone needs to be honest, so I guess its gonna be me.
It looks like a ghetto steak and you could put it on an oak chopping board and it would still look ghetto.
Sorry op, but you need slapped about the face with it until you learn what a good steak looks like.
If we all start agreeing this chit looks good then it will become the norm, and fuc that.
inb4 op is depressed and I didn't know.

These are the non-butcher steaks I get regularly. I'm awaiting your expertise.

I get the oxtails and pigs feet from usually Asian or Hispanic groceries. The quality of the bones, oxtails etc are higher all while being cheaper. Some of the oxtails and beef bones I get from a local farm that gives them to me when I buy steaks.

Fuark I'll have to check out my local shops then. I much rather make my own I just wasn't sure where to get the best stuff for it. Once work slows down after the holidays I'm doing this and will make a thread about it to see how it turns out. srs.

I like steak, but the whole salt and pepper only steak, I don't get it. I prefer a well seasoned slow braised piece of beef versus a sauteed steak any day of the week.

I'd prefer actual grass fed/grain finished beef straight from the farm like you have, but right now I have to deal with fookin supermarket "grass fed" stuff. This brand though is solid.

The last time I attempted keto I made it to around day 10 but had non-stop cramps and started having diarrhea 2-3 times a day. Did you have similar issues and just power through?

When I tell you I felt amazing....it was like being on steroids and ******* for 2 months. My body needed it. Although I'm not a fan of long term keto either because eventually the initial amazing feeling wears off like most more restrictive diets.
