Ehh. There’s an interesting stat I read about HSV-2. A couple that has sex (One being positive for genital herpes and the other being negative) has a 10 percent chance of transmission over the course of a year.

Aka HSV2 will spread between 1 in 10 couples over the course of a year. So not a done deal to get it first time.

I worked in a trauma center for a number of years, a lot more people have HIV than you think and they live normal lives. Virtually all insurance covers the medications and the meds on the market today are efficient and efficacious enough to allow you to live a normal life.

but also, unless you're having sex with dudes, your chances of getting HIV are pretty slim...unless the sloots you're banging are sharing needles while using illicit drugs.

My understanding is that there are co-factors involved in a positive AIDS diagnosis. The two main co factors are being gay, and or taking recreational drugs.

The chances of getting HIV from a single act of unprotected vaginal sex is very low, like 0.04%/1 in 2500 and that’s only IF the women is HIV positive which again is very unlikely.

It’s a very fragile virus which is hard to catch, you’d have to bang the same infected person over 2000 times before you have a high chance of catching it.

You literally have a higher chance of chocking on some food and dying.
