I had that issue too brah, I legit wanted to get into programming until I took courses in it and knew off the bat that I needed variety in what I do on the daily basis. I did lots of help desk work and now I don't really work on hardware and work for a company (making 125k) troubleshooting, fixing, coding for an in-house software application.

I don't want to say I'm smarter because we all have our strengths in things that we're smart in... I just want to say I'm experienced with technology, been working in IT for what seems like ****ing forever now and used computers since I was 10. I took Javascript and C++ classes and ****ing hated it, skip all that nonsense, just learn Python and learn AWS, that is 100% the move going forward

As a desktop support tech you would never use it, this is more to gain the skills to get out of that rut

Why do so many people talk **** about it though ? When ever I see really cool tech jobs for stuff thats actually exciting like robotics , AI , embedded systems, etc 99% use python.

I don’t work in tech so if there’s some meme about it I’m unaware.

You have to be trolling

Python is used pretty extensively in a lot of different industries for back end or scripting and is a very easy language to pick up

If you can’t figure this out by doing your homework …. You probably have 0 direction and want to do IT or tech because you think it’s a get rich quick scheme

It's just most people that don't know the value of learning python see it as some meme (since lots of programming languages have just died)
