Interestingly, if you look at the two major streams of faiths (Abrahamic - Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Dharmic - Hinduism, Buddhism, etc), even though they differ in many ways...they all agree on some sort of continuation after death.
Very fair point.

It's possible humanity has mislead itself through religion, but who could know?

On recharge, I appreciate you trying to engage in sincere dialogue on this subject.

You are right, it can be very helpful but it shouldn't dominate or dictate our focus.

So is the alternative to wait until you could know? I'd think a wise person wouldn't wait and say "I'll see when I get there". We can deny a lot of things (existence of God, Heaven/Hell, an afterlife) but no one can deny death. Smart thing would be to ponder on why are we here (if for any purpose) and where am I going (if anywhere). We get deluded into things that in a century won't really mean much (not a doomercel and not a nihilistcel lol).

It's my duty to try spreading some message in a respectful discourse (from a Muslim perspective) and if I think I have something good, I want it for others. Keep pondering void.

Quran 62:8
Say, “The death you are running away from will inevitably come to you. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the seen and unseen, and He will inform you of what you used to do.”
2:136
Say, ˹O believers,˺ We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants; what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. And to Allah we all submit.

There's definitely truth to Karmic retribution. Every faith has a recurring message of doing good in this world. You can't deny it

Yes because Europe was doing so well in pre-Roman pre-Christian times.
