It's true as of 10 days ago or so. They had a limit 1 on 24 count eggs, so I got the 5 dozen for 10 and change.

Just made 4 eggs after reading this thread.

As with all things bad in American society democrats are to blame (srs).

Ok an egg note the absolute best eggs you can get are during the spring and the summers when they eat so many grass hoppers the eggs actually come out bloody due to the ridiculously high protein diet the chickens are on. The taste would blow your mind compared to store bought eggs. Chicken coupes are a must.

And all the people whining the last 4 years over tweets and deep fake piss videos are all the sudden silent, and "don't talk about politics." Which is crazy, cuz this new guy has some even better tabloid material than the last. Sniffs and gropes kids, son was colluding with the two countries involved most with the latest global events (Ukraine invasion / China and Wuhan), son is selling multi-million dollar art pieces, incestual nonces in the family, dead family members, seems like he has 7 different body doubles, and on and on. They were legit just $21 for 5 dozen here in Hampton Roads, VA on 12/23. Pretty sure Northern VA is going to be even more expensive.

Bidens inflation is already on track to be worse than Carters.

FWIW the story I heard is that Costco only marks items up by 15%, but they make up for it with the membership fees which is where they get about half of their profit.

My understanding is pasture-raised pretty much IS farm-raised. The chickens are actually spending time outdoors and they are eating not just the grain-rich chicken feed but also the insects on the land. post your yolks for comparison, bro!

but yeah I stopped getting cage-free eggs unless they are some crazy cheap price (my local store had them at $1/18-pack a couple months ago, no joke.) Cage-free is basically the chickens are stuck in the shed/coop/warehouse, but they are just not living in cages. Apparently chickens getting to roam around inside a massive Tuff Shed means the eggs are supposed to be pushing 3x the price. Huh.

I pay $5 for a dozen jumbo eggs at a little farm store around the corner. They're pretty good quality and from a local farm.

I've been buying a brand called "happy eggs" or something the past few weeks. They have a "heritage" line of eggs with the most orange looking yolks I've ever seen. I only use one egg with my sandwich or omelette, the rest is meat and fixings. I don't mind spending a little more for good eggs. I think they're about $6-7doz

"Happy Eggs" are solid. The heritage ones run like $10 in Chicago now though, so I don't get them.

Usually get the regular pasture raised happy eggs or vital farms, which are anywhere from $6-7 lately depending on sales... problem is, most stores have been sold out of everything recently.

The stores around here legit had better/more food selection during the peak of Covid than they do lately.
